arCHeco is the gate to the world of business archives in Switzerland and in the principality of Liechtenstein. The directory is a joint-project of the business archivists group of the Association of Swiss Archivists (VSA) and the Swiss Economic Archives (SWA).

arCHeco gives an overview of historical business records preserved in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Up-to-date it lists about 1500 archival fonds of the private economy mostly held by public repositories. Further archival fonds of private enterprises, associations and state-run organisations are continuously added.

You can search in arCHeco:

• by full text search (search filters: economic sector, type of creator, location (canton), period, keeping archival institution)
• by browsing the list of all archival fonds redescribed in the directory (arranged alphabetically)
• by browsing the list of all archival institutions in the directory (arranged by type)
